As Chief Marketing Officer, Richard’s role is to create as much value for our customers as possible. Richard does that by supporting the rest of the board in developing marketing strategies that help engage with the over 55 age group.
Once connected, Richard assists clients from their initial enquiry through to application submission, using a bespoke onboarding journey and digital assets created over the years here at Equity Release Supermarket.
Utilising the various communication platforms, Richard ensures the consumer receives sufficient information to help them make an informed decision. At the same time, the company’s profile is raised and ensures the company keeps improving their reputation as innovators in the later life market.
Richard does this for our customers who take out equity release, but also for our business-to-business partners who want to offer similar services for their customers by partnering with an independent specialist like Equity Release Supermarket.
He was Head of Distribution Marketing at Key Group, an equity release specialist, and was Head of Marketing at Tenet Group before that – both within the finance sector. Richard was responsible for development of their propositions and taking those to the relevant markets. Richard has supported significant business growth at both Tenet and most recently Key Group, however, has enjoyed success outside of the industry too.
Prior to Tenet, Richard worked for an IT consultancy that, during his time there, became one of the fastest growing companies in Europe. He also worked at Centrica for 7 years and 3 years at Sky in which he learned about different marketing disciplines. He even earned a degree in strategic marketing by studying in the evenings outside of work.
Richard believes that Equity Release Supermarket is well positioned to make major improvements to this growing market because the customer is at the heart of everything we do. It’s that simple.
Richard is focused on taking innovations that Equity Release Supermarket have developed to broader markets. This is to benefit increasing amounts of customers who are interested in equity release that require a whole of market and impartial equity release service.
