Equity Release Group is an award winning independent advisory firm that champions the power of independent, whole of market equity release advice. Through our family of brands and distribution channels, we provide a platform for both consumers and businesses to enjoy the benefits of equity release. Our vision is to make equity release work for everyone.
The company was founded in 2008 by owner, Mark Gregory. Mark is a financial services professional with over 20 years’ experience in equity release and has built a national network of over 60 advisers – which we are looking to expand.
From our humble beginnings, Equity Release Group has grown and built an enviable reputation in the market by combining the highest quality impartial financial advice, with the most streamlined administration processes and digital technology in the market. The result is a platform that enables our team to deliver an award- winning service.
Over the last few years, the equity release market has experienced significant growth, which is forecast to continue. While Equity Release Group has naturally benefitted from this growth, we have established a proven model that has seen our business grow by almost 30% in each of the last two years, significantly more than the market as a whole.
Our determination to continue on this growth trajectory is evident in our commitment to investing in innovation and our strategic roadmap, including –

We have also invested in strengthening our leadership team and have appointed a number of best in class partners to support us in realising our ambitions.
How we do it
Central to our growth is our lead generation programme. We are incredibly proud that our customer enquiries are either generated from our own websites, via our introducer partnerships or from personal recommendations from our existing customers.
Unlike many equity release brokers, we are a self-sufficient business, generating our own leads. We don’t buy in leads from third parties which means the leads we provide to our advisers are of a higher quality and therefore provide a higher conversion rate of lead to sale.
We have also invested in centralised administration and compliance, embracing the power of technology to deliver the most efficient and reliable service to clients. Part of this service includes the industry’s only case tracking facility, allowing customers to login online to access application updates and important documentation. We are pleased to say that we are reaping the rewards for this investment which is evident in our enviable 99% customer satisfaction rating on feefo.
We also enjoy a market leading compliance record which has been substantiated following external audits from Legal & General, KPMG, LV= and Canada Life. We have also invested in external compliance support that ensures we remain aware of our regulatory obligations and assesses our internal and GDPR compliance on an ongoing basis.
Moreover, to ensure that we remain profitable in the event of fluctuating markets and are able to expand without significant investment into the business, we tightly control and monitor our fixed costs.
Our leadership team review sales and financial performance monthly and our strategic team formally review the businesses progress and drive future growth across key areas such as compliance, administration, sales/marketing and IT.

We currently have a team of over 55 hand selected equity release advisers who are spread around the UK delivering the highest quality advice to our customers. As we continue to grow, and to handle the lead volumes we are now generating, we need to continue to build our team across all functions of the business to ensure we maintain the high standard of service across these growing number of enquiries.

Equity Release Sales Adviser - Employed
The role:
Equity Release Supermarket are excited to start 2022 looking to develop and nurture a new team of upto 10 employed field-based equity release advisers - across strategic parts of the UK.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for both the company and anyone looking to build a successful career in the later life market, plus benefitting from the experience & training from the UK's No. 1 Equity Release Advice Broker - as voted by the industry in 2019 and 2020.
You would be working from home and benefit from our own in-house quality lead generation, using the latest enhancements in technology, coupled with a flexible, yet sensible approach to writing later life business.
The flexibility of the role means you would also manage your own diary - important for that work/life balance for which Equity Release Supermarket are renown for as an empathetic employer.
Coupled with our recent launch of smartER - the industries first consumer research tool, we are now generating significantly more equity release enquiries. Our data is also revealing smartER leads are attracting clients who are much closer to the later stages of the decision making process.
The role starts with our residential, purpose-built adviser training academy, of which all our 60+ advisers have benefitted from, and are now recognised as some of the best later life advisers across the UK. From there, and out in the field, you will continue to receive valuable sales and compliance support during your pre and post CAS stages.
This is ideal for any potential new or existing later life advisers who'd like to specialise more in this rapidly growing market, and require greater support in order to become an independent whole of market equity release 'specialist'.
Job Description - Equity Release Sales Adviser
The role of our employed independent equity release adviser will entail the following: -
- Home based employed adviser
- Contact enquiries offering best advice within T&C guidelines.
- Ensure client information gathered using factfinding skills
- Undertake product research with tools provided
- Make recommendations backed up with suitability report.
- Ensure documentation & client records are filed onto CRM.
- Ensure CPD is maintained and recorded accurately.
Dedicated Admin Support
A centralised admin and IT support is provided, with you own dedicated case handler who manages your cases through to completion; allowing advisers to do what they do best - advise.
Our bespoke CRM system is provided which helps you to manage your own leads through to sales in accordance with TCF guidelines, and you have the full support and guidance of a dedicated compliance unit.

This leading edge website provides the tools for clients to research equity release themselves and consequently results in warm inbound lead generation - Equity Release Supermarket.
In addition, our Compare Equity Release website provides additional lead volumes to support further adviser lead generation and quality business.
We have many other lead generation avenues including our Equity Release Partners proposition, direct consumer enquiries & further external lead generation partnerships. An element of self-generated business would also be beneficial; these cases attract more favourable commercial terms.

Qualifacation Requirements
Applications are welcome from existing equity release advisers, but also consideration given to advisers currently not specialising in equity release, but have an excellent track record in financial services, particularly mortgages.
The ideal candidate will have gained Certificate in Financial Planning plus CeMAP, and the relevant Equity Release Qualification.
Required Skills
